Hello everyone! Happy Wednesday!
One of the project that I am hoping to start this year is a picture book. I am hoping to write, illustrate and publish this book. The idea has always been in my mind for a long time and I decided that this will be a project that I will work on this year. I will try to document the process behind each tasks in this blog. For today’s task, I am brainstorming ideas about one of my main character for the story which is a bear cub. I tried drawing several rough sketches of the bear in different poses I am actually inspired by wildlife documentary like Planet Earth. They are also wonderful images online to study from. Bear are such wonderful animal. I can see why they often appear in children’s picture books because of their characteristics and personality. For today, I am playing around with several ideas and with eighteen rough sketches it is hard to choose and finalise my character designs. Nevertheless, it has been a productive day and I am looking forward to work on this project daily.
