Fancy Poote.. is not your ordinary Pig.

Meet Fancy Poote. He is an arty pig who loves fashion and art. He loves the extraordinary and his fashion sense is a combination of art and extravagance. Most of the pigs in Oink Farm find him weird and funny. They always make fun of him and tell him to stop being silly and start being a proper pig and do piggy stuff like rolling in the mud, eating leftovers scraps and making silly farts after a huge dinner. Well, it seems that Fancy Poote is not interested in being any ordinary pig. Instead of doing all the silly piggy things, he loves dressing up and trying out the fanciest clothes ! Not only that, during his free time, (well obviously he has lots of it!), Fancy Poote will spend hours drawing and painting art. Sometimes he will spend hours in an art gallery. No one knows that Fancy Poote’s greatest wish is to be a famous artist. He obviously hates to become a bacon or a sausage like the rest of the pigs in the farm.

One day, Fancy Poot decided to visit the National Gallery of Ireland in Dublin. Walking around the gallery, suddenly.. Lo and behold! he stumbled upon a magnificent painting! It is a very large portrait of a very fancy gentleman! What attracts him is the attire of the person in this particular painting. Fancy Poot is drawn immediately towards the enormous hat with huge Ostrich feathers that the person in the portrait is wearing. He wonders who is the person in this painting ? Perhaps we all could check it out here :https://www.nationalgallery.ie/visit-us/audio-tour-kids-and-families/portrait-charles-coote

When I am not illustrating, I will be in the Art Gallery looking for inspiration. I also volunteer at the National Gallery of Ireland. I also enjoy cooking as well as good delicious foods and wine. I do love good long nature walks.
